Planning the meal you and your guests will share on your wedding night is exciting, yet potentially difficult if you have a caterer as talented as Grandview Catering! Marie and Tyler met with Grandview to plan their food menu, and learned firsthand how challenging the decision was!
Marie said: "At first Tyler and I were thinking of having unconventional 'comfort food' at our wedding. Before our tasting with Grandview, the food at our wedding wasn't something I was excited for. But oh my goodness did Grandview Catering change my mind real quick! Their menu is so detailed, unique, and full of delicious options," she said, "Choosing the entrees to taste was so difficult because every entree looked so delicious! Their Chef truly knows how to create one of a kind dishes that will leave you wanting more and thinking about them until the day of your wedding! Tyler and I have said many times, 'I can't wait for our wedding meal.' Deciding on the two entrees to serve at our wedding was incredibly hard to make because we had not had a meal that well prepared or cooked in a long time! Truly, any option from Grandview Catering is a great choice."
Grandview Catering’s wedding giveaway package includes $1500.00 towards catering food and services, a menu consultation meeting, and a wedding menu tasting for the bride and groom.
Jen Foltz, Operations and Sales Manager at Grandview Catering, loves to work directly with couples to help make their experience the absolute best it can be.
She said, "I consult with the bride and groom to learn about their vision and use that information to help create a menu that brings their story to life! Once the menu is designed, the bride and groom come to our tasting room to meet our Executive Chef and sample foods they have selected. I also help coordinate timelines, linens, china, bar service, dining room layouts, and service staff needed for each event. I oversee the entire process from menu conception to making their dreams come true!"
Having worked with so many couples to plan such a significant part of their wedding day, she offers this advice: "Tailoring your menu to fit your individual style will create a more memorable experience for both you and your guests," she said, "I suggest to our clients to plan their menu as if they are planning a dinner party for their ten closest family and friends. They know what they enjoy, don’t worry about making everyone happy! I always say 'after all your planning, trust your vendors to do their jobs. Relax and enjoy your day!'"
Maire and Tyler were so excited at the choices offered, and the experience Jen created for them. They even revealed what the decided upon for their wedding meal!
"We decided on the basil mousse stuffed chicken with a sundried tomato vodka sauce, roasted pork loin with garlic and rosemary pan sauce, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans with seasoned butter," Maire said, "Now, what Tyler might be most excited for is the appetizers! I'll keep those a surprise for now :)"
When it comes to winter weddings, Jen and the team at Grandview love that "winter is a time for us to reflect on events past and look ahead to the future. It gives us time to research new ideas, create exciting new menu options, and allows the time to collaborate with other industry vendors."
Jen added: "Personally, I love being snowed in on a wintery Sunday afternoon! Staying cozy in my jammies, a pot of soup simmering on the stove, enjoy a glass of wine, all while having a movie marathon!"
